Your website should tell visitors what they want to know and what you want them to know. If you are selling a product or service, you want to make a sale. How do you do that? You must tell your visitors who you are, what you are selling, why they should buy from you and how/when to contact you. Provide as much information as possible, including testimonials, coupons, free samples, or whatever it takes to make a sale or at least keep them interested in your website. You want them to be impressed, so if they do not buy now, they will later. You may provide text contents in txt (Notepad) or doc (Word) format to save time and money or provide brochures, flyers, books, articles or anything that contains information that you want to include in your website. You may record spoken information on digital, cassette or compact disc media, but aural dictation may be misunderstood and have spelling errors. We realize how busy you are, and we are willing to accept contents in other formats for your convenience. We can accept PDFs, if necessary. Most of us use PCs, but some do use Macs. Be sure to tell us in advance. If you have text contents, but need someone to rephrase the text to professional advertising writing, we will assist you in writing successful ad copies. For tips on writing your own ad, read The Ad Writers Tip List by "Wild Bill" Montgomery. To hire a professional, contact Steve Salerno at JournalismPro.com. You know your existing website looks good, is easy to read and navigate, functions properly and gets visitors. If the visits do not result in sales, perhaps rewording your text is the solution to your problem. Be sure to keep the language simple and easy to understand, answer the visitor's question "What's in it for me?", be sincere, be truthful and include useful information. Do not use slang or sayings that might not be understood by visitors from another country. Do not make outrageous claims that are too incredible to believe like "you can make millions on the Internet with little time and money spent". Do not trick people into buying a product or service by misleading them about what you are selling or terms. Review your website text and ask yourself these questions. What can I change to make this sound better? Would I want to buy from this site? Why or why not? Is this believable? Do I understand what this product or service is? Is this a good value? Do I trust this company? Once you decide what items need improvement, make changes and compare with the original text. Continue making changes and choose what sounds best. Try the changes online for a few months to see if this improves your sales. If not, you can always go back to the original or ask for help. Back to Services
