Uploading Your Web Site to Your Server

Upon completion of your Web site, we will test your site locally. That means we will proofread it on our own computer to make sure everything looks right, the navigation links work correctly, the outside links work and spelling/grammar/punctuation is correct. We also use validation tools to look for coding errors. We check your site for compatibility with the most popular web browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Opera) and Google Chrome.

We will upload your Web site files to your server and test your site again. Sometimes files do not upload correctly or behave the same way once they are online. This is common with sites created with WYSIWYG editors such as Microsoft FrontPage, but we prefer NOT to use them anyway. Microsoft FrontPage is no longer supported.

Once your site is uploaded, we will notify you so you can be certain everything is the way you want it. If you decide to make changes after the agreement has been satisfied, new charges will apply.

When the site is complete and search engine optimized, the URL can be submitted to search engines, directories and other sites for links. Links from appropriate forums and blogs are recommended. Manual submission is recommended for best results. Automated submission is not accepted by all search engines, your site may be listed under the incorrect category or your site may be submitted to FFA (free for all) sites that will send you a lot of junk mail but no leads. We provide manual site submission services upon request.

Your Web site should be updated and reuploaded at least once a month for best results. The search engines robots check for updated pages and will recalculate your page rank. If you purchase our maintenance agreement, we will provide this service. Please contact us for more information.
