Computer Aided Design (CAD) is 2D and 3D production drawing and detailing. CAD is the software used in the building industry to generate plans, sections, elevations, and schedules. Examples of CAD in dwg or another format are available upon request. Examples may be converted to GIF or JPG for web viewing without a CAD viewer, but the quality is not as good. Downloading a free CAD viewer is recommended. The viewer allows you to zoom and rotate the image, but not edit the image. CAD software is needed to edit CAD files.
