Pay Per Click or Paid Inclusion for Better Search Engine Visibility

There are times when pay per click or paid inclusion is recommended for better search engine visibility. Everyone knows that paid advertising gets better visibility, but when you have a tight budget, is this where you want to spend your money?

If you have a brand new website, no links to your website, a dynamic website or enough money to afford advertising, then pay per click advertising is a great way to improve your search engine visibility. It takes a while to get enough good links to your website, indexed pages for listings on search engines and directories and whatever it takes to get top ranking.

Paid inclusion will guarantee your website will be listed on that search engine faster as long as it follows the guidelines.

Google AdWords is also recommended, because you can be found on Google, the most popular search engine. Google also provides results for many other searches such as Yahoo. Google sponsor ads can also be found on other websites through the Google AdSense program. The text ads appear on web pages that are related to the topic of the ad to reach its target audience. Websites that display Google ads get a percentage of the pay per click cost as an incentive to display these ads.

Pay per click advertising means you bid on keyword phrases that relate to your website. You can pay as much as you can afford, but you must decide how much that click is worth to you. If you pay $1 per click, you pay $1 every time someone clicks the link to your website, whether or not they make a purchase. If 100 people clicked the link, you owe $100. If only one of those people made a purchase, I hope they spent more than $100! So be sure to keep track of your return on investment (ROI) when you choose pay per click.

With billions of websites on the Internet and numerous competitors, it is difficult at best to get top search engine ranking without paying. To ensure better search engine visibility, paid advertising is almost necessary, though not always affordable. Research your keywords and try it for yourself. In comparison with other media (newspapers, magazines, radio and television), the Internet reaches more people for less money. This is money well spent.
